after careful consideration and a slap in the face by the piaggio salesman at only offering $ 2,000 for my trade in bike a 2011 suzuki s 40 with 1,700 miles on it, I went to my suzuki dealership where I bought my bike and asked what they would give me in trade. They said $3,000 or more, so I went downstairs to look at the kymco scooters And liked the people gt 300i but thought it was too small. So after research I ordered the downtown 300i in burnt orange. It is 367lbs, much lighter than my previous 500 lb Tmax!!! The dealership came and picked up the suzuki motorcycle on friday and I am awaiting a phone call for delivery of the downtown 300i scooter. The scoot is listed at $5,600 and my salesman said he would sell it to me for $ 5,000 so I think that's a good deal. I got a $1,000 xmas bonus at work so with my trade in and bonus I'll only owe another $1,000. So merry Christmas to me

thanks turtle... it seemed like a no brainer when I compared the 300i kymco and the piaggio 350. I didn't like the way the dealership ignored me while shopping and then degraded my possible trade in, I can only imagine what dealing with parts and inspections would entail. So my Hubby suggested I go back to the Suzuki dealership and see what they would offer me. I had the same salesman that sold us 2 bikes previously and he was more than happy to pick up my motorcycle from my home and order me a 300i downtown scooter. We have taken our bikes to be inspected there for years and have always been treated with respect, so again it was a no brainer... I'll post photos when I get the bike delivered. It's just a shame that some dealerships seem to go out of their way to accommodate you and others do everything to repel you. Oh well, our suzuki dealership has now sold us 3 bikes, have serviced those bikes and has customers for life

Oooooooh, I bet that's going to be pretty. I have a friend who has one in white, but didn't know it even came in orange. Now I've got to go find a picture of one. Congrats!!

Well my new scoot arrived early... it came on my birthday  to me!!!! I paid her off today at lunchtime and went to visit her... LOVE the color and she is being delivered thursday morning. Already bought a new tourmaster highlighter yellow jacket and am scoping out a new helmet since mine is currently at the 5 year mark My how time flies... I will post pics after thursday!

I think you'll like the downtown. I've not sat on one, but the reviews are stellar. The only one I want more is a bv350.
