Today I passed my MSA! WOW! I am one step closer to getting a full licence. I start my traffic course next week on Saturday and Sunday. Its 13 hours of riding with an hour of theory. If you would like to see pictures of my classmates and I, visit my bloggio. http://scootermayhem.blogspot.comI have learned so many new skills and honed others, it was well worth the time and money spent. I am a better scooterist/motorcyclist and driver because of this and highly recommend taking a course. Right now I am

Thanks Groovymom I can do figure 8's in my sleep now. When I close my eyes all I see are traffic cones. I am going for a ride in a little bit. Practice does make perfect.
During our last class yesterday one of my classmates who was getting up into second gear was planning on practicing a controlled stop and she accident grabbed the front brake too hard and went over the handlebars and dumped the bike, she smacked her head on the pavement and landed hard on her thigh. She trashed a brand new full face helmet and was upset when she realized the helmet is done. But like I said to her it did its job and protected her from a broken jaw and head injuries. I watched her fall it was terrible, her face shield popped right off the helmet. She got up and sat a bit and then took her MSA & passed, then one of the instructors took her to emerg just to make sure she was ok and she is. Her leg is swelling up pretty good & her thigh is bruising. She has a headache. She was lucky that it was in a controlled environment.

You are now "official"
And I hope your classmate is ok. Sometimes it's hard to tell what the damage really is until the next day. Bet she is sore! Shellee, I am still not official yet, I've only passed the first step in the process, I am a novice rider and still have to do the 2 day traffic skills course and then the road test on the 18th and then I will be official, but I am getting closer. I could have bypassed the motorcycle riders course and traffic course and tried to learn everything on my own, but I never would have passed without it or if I did I still would be lacking some nescessary skills. I am glad I took the course. My classmate is holdong her own, I talked to her today. The bruising is coming out on her thigh and its swollen. She has had a headache. She is a road warrior princess, she stayed and did her skills assessment test and passed.

Thanks Ruckusgal! It has been worth the effort and I am really happy. I am glad i started with my little 50cc, good things start with humble beginnings. I have loved my scooter adventure and we will see where the road takes me.
