Late this afternoon i told husband i was riding to the store (10 Mi) because we had no hamburger rolls for supper. He answered that probably we could do with bread, but then he just smiled.....as he must have realized i was just looking for an excuse to ride in this wonderful weather.
don't think we've had a fall this nice in years.
anyone else up here in the ne taking advantage of extra riding days before the "s" word?

I'm in Vermont, and this past weekend was GORGEOUS! I didn't even look for excuses... I just got on my scooter and rode around. I'm trying to take advantage of every riding opportunity possible until it gets too cold. This was my first summer riding, and I'm so sad that the season is coming to an end.

I would kill (well, not really, but you know what I mean) to be up there with you guys. I've been fortunate in the past to spend a few autumns in New England and omigosh, the riding is beautiful. I was just like you, whwithch...I had a farm stand that was down a couple of wonderful country roads. The scenery was just beautiful...no matter that I passed supermarkets with plenty of veggies on the way there. I'd go and get two apples and a cucumber. The next day back I'd go and get two ears of corn. The next day it might be some cider. The lady would look at me, and say, "Weren't you just here yesterday?" Eventually I pointed out my scooter and fessed up.

I absolutely feel these past two weeks have been a gift. I got my permit on Sept 15 and got my scoot on Sept 17. This gorgeous weather has given me the opportunity to practice riding around our lovely parkways and to work; and it'll give me the chance to take my MSF class yet this month.

The color is late this year and the leaves here just started to change. Looking forward to 4 weeks of beautiful riding scenery!

The weather here in Alberta has been perfect. Riding on Fall days is so sweet. Not looking forward to the winter that will be here before I know it.
