My neighbors grilled me about cost, gas mileage, etc. yesterday when I was trying to leave for work. Not to be rude, I answered them all, but ended up running a bit late. At least they were polite, and thanked me after.

I would've been livid. I hate it when people tell me I should've gotten a real motorcycle or I ride a "gimp" or something like that. I just joke and say "at least I'm riding and on two wheels" and pass it off as a joke.

I had some homeless guy (we have a lot here) ask me what my scooter was going to be when it grew up. This is while crossing in the crosswalk in front of me, after I had stopped just so he could cross. I didn't have to stop. But did he thank me? Say, nice wheels? No. He snickered like I was riding a clown car. Jerks.
