We're having the usual holiday get togethers, and I am bored with my usual hot appetizer recipes (I am an English teacher, but for the life of me I can't remember how to spell hors d'o.....damn) . Anybody got something killer they'd like to share?

I posted a recipe a couple of days ago. These are really easy and everyone loved them! Sweet Chicken Bacon WrapsQuote: Ingredients 1 1/4 pounds boneless, skinless, chicken breasts (about 4 breasts) 1 (1-pound) package sliced bacon 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar 2 tablespoons chili powder
Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes. Cut each bacon slice into thirds. Wrap each chicken cube with bacon and secure with a wooden pick. Stir together brown sugar and chili powder. Dredge wrapped chicken in mixture. Coat a rack and broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place chicken wrap on rack in broiler pan. Bake 350 for 30 to 35 minutes or until bacon is crisp.

Thanks! They look delicious. I had glanced over the recipe the other day and was too dense to realize that they were appetizers...

This doesn't sound very good but guests practically lick the bottom of the crock pot when I make this...
Kielbasa Bites
1 pound of Kielbasa (I use turkey kielbasa) 1 8oz jar seafood cocktail sauce 1 can whole-berry cranberry sauce
Cut the kielbasa into small pieces and boil for 3-5 minutes to remove excess fat. (I skip this step with the turkey kielbasa.) Drain the kielbasa, then mix in the remaining ingredients and simmer over low heat. I just throw it in a crock pot and forget about it!

How about a artichoke, black olive, mushroom, diced tomatoe, onion, jalepino - tapenade on toasted sliced Italian bread?
I know sounds weird but it's very good!
just take about equal amounts of each ingrediant (except Jalepinos)
mix it together and add a few tablespoons EVOO and 1 juiced lemon.
Add to that 1 or 2 pressed garlic cloves, and about 1 teaspoon chopped basil
salt to taste. Add minced Jalepinos to your heat level the seeds and pith are what make them hot.
Let it sit over night to mix flavors.
Spread on Italian bread and sprinkle on a tiny bit of your favorite cheese and toast in the oven at about 400 until golden..
