Great looking scooter! =D My last bike was a 1981 Yamaha XS400 Special. I gave up bikes when it got stolen... until I got my Piaggio BV200 a few weeks ago. Must be something in the air Ha. I've fallen in love again too.. with my new scoot and riding. For everyone who's fallen in love again- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzoiTk6oSKw

I now have two white led lights on the front (at the base of my mirrors) and two red led lights on the back (below my topcase). These are not that noticable in daylight but will be perfect whenever there's fog or rides after dark. Bicycles are "non"-motorized. You may want to check to make sure. I would call the DMV AND the local police station to be sure that everyone is on the same page. Welcome to you! Love the bike.. Scooterchick British Columbia, Canada

Just found out that flashing lights like that are illegal in my state. I've been using them on my bike and on mySELF when I walk at night for months! Why sell them if they aren't legal!? GAH!

I think Scootechick hit the nail on the head, so to speak...but I have to say, I think I WANT to distract drivers...or maybe ATTRACT them. Twice in the last 5 years, oncoming cars have not seen my scooter and turned in front of me, causing bodily harm. I suspect that many police officers, at least the ones who have responded to accident scenes involving motorcycles, might overlook a little extra bling, but who knows? I've been meaning to go to a bike shop and look for something like that myself. I'm even tempted to use an ATV safety flag.
Welcome to Scooter Diva, Starsong! The LX is a great scooter!

Ken, you can get a top case online, or at most local motorcycle shops. They are pretty much universal; you just might have to play around with longer bolts, maybe adding a backing plate or fender washers or whatever it might take to bolt to the particular rear rack on your Agility. I think our baby Kymco has an Emgo box, which any motorcycle dealer should be able to get through their Parts Unlimited catalogue, or you can find on ebay, JC Whitney, etc. My People 250 has a Shad case I bought from a canadian dealer on ebay. The holes in the mounting plate didn't line up quite right, but a quick trip to the hardware store, and a few longer bolts and fender washers later, I was in business. Basically you're bolting/clamping a base plate to your rear rack, and a case snaps on and off that bracket. Some cases might bolt directly on, but most now can be taken on and off.
