Last month I decided it was time to invest in something fun! Especially since life is too short! I purchased a Piaggio Vespa 150LX. I had a Yamaha Virago about 10 years ago and sold it when my 1st husband and I split up. I've kept my motorcycle endorsement on my license over the years with the notion that one day I might ride again! Well, I do now! It's right around 500 miles now, and just had my first oil change! Currently internet browsing for vinyl stickers to add a little bit more of my personality to it and also fashionable apparel!  I love my Vespa and can't believe I've waited so long to find my path as a scooter owner. Livin' life to the fullest!

Thanks for the kind welcoming! I stopped by a bicycle shop yesterday on my lunch hour and purchased a couple of tiny battery operated flashers. I put the white one on the front and the red one on the back. They are so cute. I will get a pic uploaded soon!
I bought them just to have a little extra light to hopefully bring more attention to the scooter on the road, which just so happens to have ME on it! Safety is a must!

GREAT Idea! The LED flashers are quite visible and eye catching I think. I have the red LED flasher already (for my bicycle rides) - must find a white one for the front.

Hello, in the state of washington they are illegal you might want to check to see if they are ok where you live. They could be distracting to drivers . Sorry to burst your lite bubbles:)

AZ -but that by no means vouches for their legality. Now I'm thinking about that whole thread on practiceing turning and how NOT to look at what you want to avoid... a flashing strobe could become a winter visitor MAGNET!

My husband says that the lights look great! Usually bicyclists use these, but why not a scooter rider too?!
I bought another set (they come with one white and one red).
I now have two white led lights on the front (at the base of my mirrors) and two red led lights on the back (below my topcase). These are not that noticable in daylight but will be perfect whenever there's fog or rides after dark.

Your scoot is sure cute. If you're still looking for something to get you noticed and provide safety with reflective tape at night, I've made some helmet skins that are just for that purpose. I too didn't want cagers to miss me on the road. Made one for myself then couldn't stop, ha ha. Check them out at www.hotglueandpaint.com.
