Pepper decided he'd had enough of mom riding off.
Next thing he'll want to drive.
(No, he hasn't ridden- yet.)

Hi there!
He looks like he's ready to go!

I'm sure you'd enjoy taking a look at this site: http://www.sandythedog.com
It's a huge heartwarming site about a friend of mine and his dog, Sandy. One of those once-in-a-lifetime relationships.
(Unfortunately, Sandy died in February when she was hit by a van, in a totally scooter-unrelated accident.)

Wow- I can't imagine having him ride unsecured like that! Great that he did it but I'd be too worried.. to many things that could go wrong.

yep, it took a lot of work and practice to get Sandy secure there. She did have one very minor fall, but only that one.
But having an animal secured to a scoot in any way leaves the animal stuck with a fallen ride, instead of being able to fall clear. It would be like a rider using a seat belt...good for security, until the bike is sliding and rider can't get away...

I watched that video, too, and at first I thought, 'Why would anyone put a dog in that kind of danger!' Then I really thought about it. The average person spends the vast majority of their lives being 'too careful,' 'too worried,' or 'too scared.' We are afraid of this, afraid of that, afraid that this or that may happen...to the point where we oftentimes stop ourselves from doing anything at all the least bit risky (which often equates to fun, I might add). Over all, I think we miss out on a lot in our short lives. There is a statistic which states that over 90% of what we worry about never happens.

That dog seemed well trained and CONTENT. Good for Sandy and his owner for traveling almost 50,000 happy miles together. Somehow, it worked perfectly for them. Many people appeared to be outraged at the danger of that dog being on that scooter, and poor Sandy, much like my beloved dog years ago, runs out the front door and gets hit by a vehicle.

I look upon Sandy and his owner as being an inspiration to all of us "too worried" "too scared" and "too careful" people.

RIP Sandy.

I can tell you that Sandy was most assuredly content.
