I recently purchased a pair of women's TCX T-Lily GoreTex riding boots. (see link here http://www.tcxboots.com/eng/prodotti-de ... ategoria=3 ) Retail $299 to $339 CDN.

Pro's
*Good price for a leather Goretex riding boot
*Solidly built leather boot with a Goretex membrane for waterproof and breathability.
*Good ankle protection with the armour.
*Good shin protection.
*Waterproof - I have ridden through a few torrential downpours with pooling water on the road and my feet were dry!!!! No more prune toes!
*Good zipper closure with a velcro tab on the zipper pull to secure to the velcro on the boot. Easy to zip up.
*Flexible around the calf area so they are not tight and you can easily zip up and put your pant leg inside the boot.
*Shifter pads on toes.
*Narrow in the heel cup and moderate through the foot bed, so it isn't too tight. I have found in past ladies boots have been difficult to fit due to them being super narrow.
*Comfortable foot position in the boot and fairly comfortable to wear when off the scooter/bike. They don't look chunky either and go nicely with jeans.

Con's
*The insole of the boot is not very comfortable and could use a little extra padding and I found the foot bed a little hard. I have remedied that by adding an insole.
*The boot feels a little cool in the wind because of the breathability of the Gortex.
*The boot sole could be a little heftier and have a bit more tread.

Overall I am really impressed with these boots and that my feet stayed absolutely dry in the torrential downpours I have used them in so far. I think they will be a little warm in the summer and time will tell and several miles of riding to be done to see how they really perform. Nice boot, good quality.

They are awesome so far! I have ridden through some pretty icky heavy rain and my feet were bone dry when I got home. This makes me so very happy! The only thing I have noticed is that they seem to be a little cooler than my old boots because of the breathability of the Goretex. Need warmer socks for winter riding. They are really comfy though and were not hard to break-in. The best part is the flexibility around the top because I have a little bit of a chunky calf and it isn't tight at all.

Were you able to buy them over the internet without trying them on? They look nice! I have bigger, wider feet than most women, and I can often wear men's boots, too. I stumbled onto a pair of nice leather boots that I started to look at for my son, and went, hey, wait a minute...the mark downs in the bigger men's sizes were already gone, but I picked up a pair for me. They're a Red Wing model in sort of a military style that looks like it's tied, but has a zipper. They cover my ankle. The worst part about them is that after being out of the Navy decades, I'm able to not even think about starching and ironing clothes, yet I am getting almost OCD about this one pair of boots needing polish.

Happy - I actually bought them in store. They were pretty true to size. I do however have a wide foot at the front and my heel is narrow, I found these pretty good. I am a size 37 women's or 6.5 (US). I did buy my daughter who has very wide feet a pair of men's Exustar waterproof boots and they were awesome.

Ellen - did you get a pair of these?

Try the Exustars, my daughter loves hers and we ended up buying men's for her and they are perfect!

OK, I don't really need another pair of boots, but I'll be on the lookout for that brand. I don't think I've never heard of it before.
