Hello!! So, I've been really obsessing over this scooter from an anime called FLCL, and there is a character with a yellow Vespa 180ss. Despite the fact that my scooter is a Honda Metropolitan, I may consider painting it yellow (it's actually like a marigold..) it's one of my favorite animes so I figured it'd be awesome to *kinda* replicate her scooter! haha. Would anybody know how much it would cost to do it? Or if I am able to do it on my own? Here's a picture of the scooter:

FLCL is amazing. I would just about die if I could get my hands on a yellow vespa. And it would have the P! Sticker on it within minutes, heheh.

I've seen a few FLCL episodes. It's a bit confusing at first but overall it's great. You can get that P! sticker off ebay. I stuck mine to line the inside of my glove box.

If I ever got a yellow scoot, it would be named Haruko. Because how could you not? I could watch FLCL a million times and never get sick of it.

Howdy!
Your profile doesn't list your location, but if you're in the Pittsburgh, PA area, I can paint your scooter... for free! You gotta buy the materials, which after you include primer, base-coat, hardener, reducer & clear-coat, is gonna set you back close to $200.
Or, I can paint it using single-stage acrylic enamel. That's what was used on just about all cars from the mid '60's up to the early '90's. It's not as durable as today's two-stage (basecoat-clearcoat) paints, but it's WAY less expensive. If you want a yellow Metropolitan, I can get enough paint to do it for about $20 (because they're so teeny!) and I can tint it any shade you want, from bright lemon yellow, to a slick yellow-orange.
Of course, you'll have to supply the round "P!" sticker. I bet'cha you can find one on eBay!
I've been painting cars & motorcycles of all types for many years, and have never accepted payment for my work. Occasionally, I'll let a customer donate a case of Yeungling to the cause, but that's about it. I paint because I enjoy doing it, not to make money - I have a "daytime job" that pays quite well, thank you. Painting vehicles is a hobby for me, and I always welcome a "fresh canvas"!
Perhaps you have a blue Rickenbacher bass guitar, so you can pose with it beside your scoot? How cool would that be?!? Hee-hee!
