My Kymco Grandvista is just a bit to tall for me. I have lowered the seat by removing the front seat hinge. I replaced it with a different type hinge. This makes it so I can almost touch the ground with out being on my toes. Has anyone ever had the body of the scoot shaved to lower a seat??? It looks like it can be done. I would feel safer if I could be more flat footed when I stopped.

My husband suggests taking it to a shop that can customize your seat for you by removing some of the padding to lower it. Someone like this can redesign and reupholster it for you.

I took my seat to an auto upholsterer. He shaved a little of the padding on the top and sides. The foam that was removed does not look like much but it really helped.

I took my scooter to a guy that dose custom motorcycle seats...
He took some of the foam off my scooter seat and upholstered the seat for me...
Now my feet are flat on the ground....
