I'd love to but I have a birthday party that day. I can't for the life of me remember where Gilettes Castle is. My son loved it as a kid too.

Have fun at the party Deb. Gillette Castle is in Hadlyme, on a bluff overlooking the river. From Norwich, it is out along RT 82, There are signs for the Castle on RT 82. It is a great place to go. All of my kids still love the Castle and bring their kids there.

I heard they rehabed the place recently. I hope they didn't ruin it. My son love it there and then we'd go to the Steam train and steamboat ride for there in Essex I think. Gosh it's been about 20 years!

The castle was closed for a couple of years while they did some serious maintenance inside and out, but they didn't alter the structure of the castle. Still as great as it always was. They now have a little visitor's center with nice restrooms and a snackbar next door.

Nice! Hey were you riding your trike yesterday (Wednesday) down 82 towards WalMart? I couldn't remember whick scooter you triked. I saw a red one that looked like it might be a scooter but we were going in oposite directions so by the time I got a clear look it was gone. I was riding the yellow Honda heading for Salem 4 corners (Robs Homebrew).

Hi DeejayDebi,
Not me. No red scoots. Got a silver and black Silverwing, (triked), and a black Reflex. Haven't been on either ride in about 2 weeks. Weather not appropriate for riding to work these days and kind of pressed for time.
