Personally I think these are a bit pricey, but if looking for a dog carrier, try this one
Road Hound dog carrier
http://www.discountramps.com/dog-carrier-motorcycle.htm
These motorcycle pet carriers mount to many different vehicles including motorcycles, ATVs, scooters, & even bicycles.
Each of these dog carriers is made from ABS plastic that is vacuum formed. The floor of this pet carrier is attached using special adhesives and riveted together for a durable construction.
The dog carrier comes in three different sizes - Tiny Tot, Pewee, and Junior for dogs ranging from 12 pounds up to 30 lbs. Removable side rails allow your dog or pet to enjoy the wind as you ride. Share the adventure with your four legged friend and no longer leave your dog or pet behind!
I would think someone should be able to modify the topcases by cutting strategic air slits in the top case. The GIVI 370 is made so you can buy different color tops so if didn't work you could replace just the top. I have a Shih-Tzu that fits in the Sherpa carrier for underseat in the airplane and that carrier is 11" high. The GIVI is 12.7" high...inside probably 12" or so.
Just need the right tools to do the modification....Oh, and the "small/short" dog!

I can just see my Frenchie enjoying the ride in one of these. But it is a bit pricey.

Seen them online before, but not too sure how safe that really is. My english bulldog is 10-15 pounds over the limit anyway.

The Junior model has a weight limit of 30 pounds I think. My little bullie weighs 40-45.

Don't have the backrack yet. May have to order one sent with the parts ordered to fix crash damage.

My ultimate dream is to get a SilverWing or something similar with at least one side car and trailer to where I can haul my BIG DOGS with me for rides. . . Yeah, right. . .Dream on, dear Shari. . .You are indeed old, blonde and senile. . .LOL
Here are three of the six if it comes through. . .

Beautiful dogs. I have never had a big dog but those are sure beautiful.
Mine are small and I have a friend that has a small front pack (kind of like for babies) but it is for dogs and he rides that way. He has a yorkie which is even smaller than mine but I am afraid they would get wiggly in there.

I have a front carrier for a small dog, like a front back pack, that I use to carry puppies around the house in, when I have puppies. . . They just don't stay small enough long enough to carry them for very long. . . Bought it at Petsmart. . . You could train your dog to stay in them. . . Just start off by putting him/her in there while you are sitting at the computer. When they get comfortable with that, start walking around the house with them in it, then walking outside. . . then sitting on your scooter while it is running and finally short rides around the block until they are ready for longer trips. . .
