Just wanted to say hi really quick- I just became a member a few minutes ago, it's working well for me so far, I suppose. I've been riding scooters since May of this year. Here's how it happened. My brother in law is a cool guy he's had a vespa for a year or so. He bought a spree for his girlfriend and let me ride it down to the beach with him one sunny sunday. I had so much fun, I was on craigslist constantly until I found a perfect scooter for my price range- a 1988 Honda Elite LX 50 for a grand total of $600. Sold! I love that scooter, but I was keeping my eye out for something bigger. Seattle's a hilly city, and I was really petering out with the 50cc. I decided the best for me would be a Stella. I'd been eyeing them for a while, and two weeks ago I decided to stop by the dealership. Once again- SOLD! So now I have two scooters, which is nice becasue my husband likes to ride the Eilte with me sometimes. I love my Stella. It's a joy to ride and a joy to look at. Jet black, and I have a bunch of chrome accessories on order, including extra mirrors. Any other Stella owners on this forum?
Well, I'm full of questions and stories, but I'll hold them for now. Nice to meet you all-
Peace.

hi cordelia! i just got a stella this last tuesday (royal blue! with little sparkles!), and i'm still quite a wobbly rider, but am zippin' around the neighborhood at a frisky 15mph...
and ellen, who is the forum owner, i believe, has the fireball special edition...y'know, the one with the cool flames!
welcome to the group...and feel free to post photos of your stella, especially once you get the chrome on. they're so pretty with the chrome.

I know what you mean- I've only been commuting with her for about a week. Before that, I was "training" myself close to home. The first night I tried to ride her, I slipped a gear and knocked her over- I was so scared and depressed I had ruined my brand new scooter. Turns out there's not much to fix, but I really had to force myself to ride a little each day after that. A week later- I'm cruising! Something clicked, thankfully. I used to be intimidated, just a little bit, each time I got on, and now that's gone and only the fun remains. There was a huge difference between riding this and my Honda. Whoo. Okay, I'm off to ride Stella to Work!
