I went last year and I'm planning on going this year too and its for a good cause. I had a blast. There were probably over 100 scooters there. I think the best part was the police escorted ride through town; no stopping for red lights or stop signs. I hope some FL Diva's can make it too.

I'm in, I'll see you Divas there. I'm trailering down so that my daughters can see what's what. Bringing a surrogate grandmother to watch them while I'm riding!!

You, too! Have you been able to find a fender? If you needed that one from the SST in Jax Beach, I could bring it down to Orlando.

Not yet, but I have some calls out. The one at SST Jacksonville has a crack in it. If all else fails, Vespa Orlando can order one.

Another gal from the club here has also registered, and a fellow from St. Augustine did as well. We'll probably trailer down, to keep it quick and simple. I have stuff I need to be here in town for Saturday. The event gears up at noon, so there's time to get there Sunday earlier.
Scooter Bug, the last time I went, I parked my RV and trailer at a shopping plaza not too far away and rode to the downtown event location. I'm trying to remember what was there in the plaza. I remember a lot of ethnic restaurants in the area, seems like maybe a Barnes and Noble? That's not much to go on, but do you have any idea where I'm talking about? It might have been the one on Colonial Drive. Would that be the closest, do you know?

Yes, I know the place. It's the Colonial Plaza on Colonial Dr (Hwy 50) and Bumby Ave. That's a good choice because its just a few minutes from Wall Street Plaza.

I wish I could go. I HAVE to find a way to tow this scooter, or else get a bigger scooter. I believe there is a ride here that day, so at least I'll have something to do, if I don't have to work that day. Y'all have fun, take your cameras!

Nickie, almost any car can tow a small trailer. I have a pal that tows her Burgman with a Hyundai sedan. You don't need a big trailer, and can pick a small kit trailer up at places like Harbor Freight, or used ones on craigslist.
If you have a larger vehicle, that can stand the weight, you can get a carrier that slips into a receiver under your rear bumper. Versa Haul is a popular brand of carrier, but they weigh a ton by themselves. You can also get an aluminum dirt bike carrier style. They're lighter and cheaper.
Another option is to have a hitch or receiver put on your vehicle, and then just rent a trailer as needed. If you rent a U-Haul trailer by the day, and take it back to the same place you get it, they're pretty reasonable...like $15 a day for a motorcycle trailer, and less than $20 for an open 5x8. If you don't use one that often, it's not a bad option. No maintenance, no storage issues.

OK Divas, we're here! GroovyMom and the GroovyKids are in O town, waiting for the ride tomorrow! Trailered the Vespa down from GA. Let me say, riding it is much more fun! I really don't like this whole trailering gig. THink I need a smaller trailer. Feels like I'm hauling a whole town on the back. Hope that the rain holds off until after the ride. Can't wait to see you guys.

Rain??? What rain?
But if it does, you'll be glad to have that trailer. I'm glad you said you're in "O Town." One of the gang here posted on our club forum that we were headed for the Big O. That led to some interesting comments!
I've been out of town all afternoon and evening, and the last couple of days have just been nuts. I sent you an email with where some of the gang is meeting, but we can't miss YOUR scoot! We'll see you there!
