Sadly, I need to sell my Kymco Grand Vista 250cc. It's a 2007 model in blue and has 2241 miles on it. It has a water-cooled engine and I know I have never had it close to what the top speed is on these scooters. I had the seat lowered about an inch by Pirate Upholstery. It's always been garage-kept and all maintenance has been done by Scooter Centrale in Hartford. It's in top condition with a few minor scratches. Here is a link to the Kymco website with a description and specs for the Grand Vista:

I'm asking $2550. Title is clear. Here are a few pictures:

Thanks Linda. I'm really sad about letting it go but due to health reasons I can't ride it anymore. It's just been sitting in the garage and it needs someone who can ride and enjoy it.

It sure is pretty, isn't it? Believe me, it's been babied from day one! :)

So sorry to hear you have to sell!!! If I am not being too nosey can you tell me why?? I am asking because I am in Georgia and I have a 2008 Grand vista white with 1200 miles I have a ton of goodies like the tour seat and a ton of riding gear for the bike and for rider.. if some one is about 5"6 and 150 lbs I could really fix them up with a nice set of gear as well as the scooter.. I have Cancer and the treatments have left me with diziness and balance and hearing and vision problems, so I would be terrified to ride it... makes me sick I was just getting comfortable riding it,, I am doing ok and most of the cancer is gone but the side effects are hell and some tests suggest damage in my brain from the radiation.. I will wait to see how you do with yours I do not want to compete with you.. My Vista was also babied from day one and I am not sure what to ask for it.. I am heartbroken that it has to go..

Hi Sue,

I belong to the same unfortunate club and this month will be finishing up just over 2 years of intense weekly chemotherapy
( which also included cranial radiation ) for leukemia. I don't know where you are in your treatment, but during the worst part of mine I could not even imagine managing my manual bike again, let alone a 400cc, 400 plus lb Majesty scooter but I am confidently riding both again now. There were many months when I could barely get up the stairs and had to use a cane to combat the dizziness and poor balance whenever I stood up from the couch. It was the muscle weakness that caused the balance issues and once I was able to work out a little bit, the balance improved dramatically. The dizziness was caused by drug induced low blood pressure and anemia which also improved as my treatment regimen changed. I ended up developing cataracts as a result of the treatments but dark glasses for now and surgery in the future will fix that. No hearing loss that I am aware of but motorcycle riders are often recomended to use ear plugs to battle wind noise so I don't consider that a riding handicap.

I hate to see anyone give up their beloved scooter. Scooting and cycling are the two things that make me feel alive and let me forget that I have cancer. If you don't have to sell it for financial reasons and are still in treatment I would suggest that you try to give it as much time as you can after treatment to see how you feel before you make a final decision.

Sue and Thea...

I'm so sorry to hear what you both are going through. I can't even imagine how difficult this fight must be. In comparison my problems are minor. I have a bad back and bad left knee (which will need surgery eventually). However, it's still enough to prevent me from handling and riding the GV safely, and it hurts to see my beloved scooter just sitting in the garage unused. I think I will be ok with my little Buddy, but nothing rides as nicely as my wonderful GV!

Sue, I put my GV on consignment at a local scooter shop, so by all means go ahead and advertise your scooter. Best of luck with selling it and prayers for both of you with your cancer treatment.

Shellee

Thea & Shellee
Thanks so much for the well wishes.. I am glad yours in not so serious Shellee and Thea glad you have come so far.. I do not think mine will come around but I have not had all my meetings with the docs yet.. My Mri done on the 9th showed my brain full of white matter disease caused by the radiation.. from what I have read the prognosis is not good.. I have an appt next Thursday with all the docs to see if there is anything we can do..think I will wait until that meeting before I List the vista for sale. But I am pretty sure I will not be riding it.. I was not that confident of my riding before ..did not have it long enough or ride enough.. I have issues driving the car sometimes so the scooter would terrify me.. Thanks Shellee as soon as I talk to the docs and get a price set I might just get it for sale while the gas is so high.

Sue
