OK, this isn't exactly a recipe, because it only has one ingredient...but somebody sent it to me, and it looked like a great idea. When I went to the store to get a couple of things for camping this weekend, there was a stack of white corn in the veggie department. Finally tried it tonight, and it worked like a charm...except I could stand to sharpen my chef's knife. (My DH saw the corn, and said, "Knowing you, you got that just because of that You Tube video." I replied, "Exactly!")

Ooooh fresh corn!! Just one of the many things I'm going to miss about summer - along with riding my scooter, of course. @:)@

(I used to parboil the ears, cut them into chunks, and then freeze them. In the winter, they were almost as good as fresh).

The steam sort of makes the silk so wet it sticks all together with the husk...and you grab the top of the silk and husk and hold that part....the corn just slips out. Maybe a stray single silk or two if you've opened the husk wide to check the corn. It really was easy.
