This couple has set off on a wonderful adventure, on their matching pair of 110cc Sym Symbas. The Symba is a Honda Cub clone, as was my first scooter, a Honda Passport. Some call it a scooter, some say no, it's more a motorcycle because they are step throughs...but anyway you call it, they're great bikes. The Honda Cub is the most popular motorcycle of all time. Sym is a scooter company in Taiwan, right behind Kymco.

Here's their blog...

And btw, here's another fellow, an Irishman, who started riding his Honda Cub in Alaska, and has made his way down to Mexico, on his way to South America...you don't have to have a Burgman or Silverwing to make a trip. (And anyoe who really doubts that should Google "The adventures of Wan," and read about his travels on a 49cc Honda Ruckus.)

Wow, how exciting and wonderful that would be to do what they are doing!!! If I was 20 years younger I would probably set off on Miss Daisy to the wild yonder! Just don't have the health and gusto to try a really long trip now! But, that does not stop me from having just as much fun on a one day trip! 250 miles is about my limit for riding Miss Daisy without being miserable! I did go 283 miles one day and that extra 32 miles nearly killed me!

I am 61 for those who might be wondering! @-:)-@

Here's a blog from a rider who too his 100cc Symba to Alaska...

And here's a great e-book, this time a trip on a Honda Trail 90...not exactly a scooter, but an awesome little bike.

Heck, every Ruckus rider worth their salt knows about Wan!

If a person can ride a bicycle across the U.S., I figure a scooter of most any size could do it too.

I am like Miss Daisey, I want to do some trips, but probably not gone longer than a week. Some long weekenders might be nice.

I don't want to be away from my spouse and "doggie children" longer than that!

I think it would be neat if some of us Scooter Divas who live within a region could meet-up at a central point and do some day rides, then ride back to our respective areas.

I know some of the womens' motorcycle groups do just that. I think some of the Scooter Divas have gotten together like this too, have they not?

Well, I've ridden with Tweety, who isn't on much since she had grandchildren, but is active on the NH forum, CampRN, and Piccolagita up in New England...Picco was on a ride from CT, and we all rode over to western NH to meet at the Peterborough Diner for lunch.

GroovyMom and I went to Amerivespa in New Orleans together, and met up with Scoots McGillicuddy.

We also met up for lunch with Ageekgirl at the Cape Canaveral Rally here in FL when she was chosen to Tweet for a space shuttle launch.

I've run into Scooter Bug at a few FL rallies.

Miss Daisy and a pal rode over to where I was camping with my Good Sam chapter in north FL one weekend, and we all rode into Lake City for lunch and visiting. There's pictures on here somewhere; I can't find them.

Oh, and then there was this rally called Summer Scoot in Worcester, Mass, several years ago...my son and I rode down from NH, with Tweety, and we met these gals named Ellen and Shellee, who were passing out stickers for this rider's forum for ladies, called Scooter Divas....

{{bump}}

Thought some who are staring longingly out the window and going into the garage just to talk to their winterized scooters
might enjoy some of these scooter blogs and great travel stories. We also have several Divas who have their own blogs.
These are just a few, in no particular order...I can't list them all and do not mean to show favoritism, just to introduce a few and maybe start some conversation about what you might be reading...

Here's one not from a Diva, but that a lot of us dream about...
