Made myself a bright gold helmet skin with a reflective tape mohawk and got so many comments, thumbs up and so much encouragement that I created a whole little line of them for sale. Even had a Police Officer thank me for being so hi-vis and making her job easier.

Hmmm, this looks like an ad.
Do you have anything else to share about your scooter riding experience?

And to the Divas--it's unwise to click on links provided by single-post members.

Forgive me please. Didn't mean for it to sound like an ad. I was simply trying to include additional pictures that I keep getting asked for, in the most brief way, when someone asks about my own helmet skin. Still really new at all these postings and bloggings. I was going to simply put a photo of one of the skins here, but couldn't figure out how to do that so just put the weblink in instead. Guess I should have looked closer to see that it would have been more appropriate to include the link on the Garage Sale forum, like Scootalong's seat covers. Again...sorry.

Hey, Woodstock...what kind of scoot is that you have? (I'm a big fan of yellow). I smiled at you saying the police officer's job was easier with you being hi-vis....I can think of a few bikes I've seen they'd like to be able to see better because they're chasing them, lol. I'm guessing, though, that you meant it was a compliment that you were more visible.

You're too funny HC. :) In my case, it was a compliment..and thankfully she didn't follow the comment up with a ticket, ha ha. Yellow is a favorite color of mine for sure. Drive a yellow car too! The scoot is a CF Moto Glory 150. Since the pics, I added a windshield and LOVE the aerodynamics when going highway speeds.

Oh, yeah, now that you mention it, I see the back end of a yellow car in that tiny avatar picture. I'm guessing this is a new hobby (the scooter)? What part of the country are you in? You mentioned highway speeds...do you mostly do commuter style rides? Hoe did you decide to decorate your helmet instead of the scooter? Or is that next?

No problem Linda. Better to be safe than sorry. I rarely click on links myself so understand the concern.

To Happy Camper...I've been riding since 2009. Can't believe how much of a scoot-nut I've become since getting that first one. I live in Bloomington (Mall of America) Minnesota. Just joined the Heck's Angels scooter club this winter and hoping to go on rides with them this summer. Looks like so much fun. For now, I've been riding a lot of errands within about 6 miles and whenever weather is good (I'm a real weather wimp), ride the 13 miles to work. The helmet was purely for safety after completing the MN Motorcycle Safety Center course. Even with the bright scoot, the highest point on me was a black helmet. I do costume props and hats at 2 theaters so making a "helmet prop hat" was a natural.

Ah well, sorry about that.
Those helmet designs are brilliant, I'm sure the members will want to see them.
( http://www.hotglueandpaint.com/Helmet_Skins.html I think?)

Welcome to Scooter Diva! {color:)}

Love the bright yellow scoot. Can't understand why there aren't bikes made with high visibility colors.
One of the bikes I looked at only came in silver or dark blue- and they only had the dark blue in.
I think that just disappears on the road.
