I did it!!!! A guy in my neighborhood started a yahoo group & we all met this a.m. for breakfast & a ride... 8 people showed & this guy just started the yahoo group (Orange County Scooter Owners) less than a month ago! Unfortunately, I was the only girl, but when ya have scootin' in common, who cares???? It was fantastic!!!! I guess everybody would like to actually form a bit of a "club" & maybe even do some camping trips. Woo-hoo! We rode up the canyon roads at speeds of 55-60 mph & one of the boys said he was impressed with my skill level & courage to ride like that after only four months. Yeah! Got me a posse. (Now I just gotta find chicks for it! Actually there is one, but her Vespa isn't running.)

Congrats! Glad you had fun! There really do seem to be more guys in the scooter groups than girls...oh well. I'm going on a group ride on Monday and am looking forward to it!

How often is your group planning on meeting? That camping trip sounds like it'll be a blast!

Not sure how often or any other details yet. The guy who started the whole thing took a little survey to see what people were interested in doing. I would give anything if at least one more woman would join. At any rate, the next time we ride I'll be wearing my Scooter Diva t-shirt.
